This is going to be the most anticipated movie of the summer! Drops on August 14th! In the mid-1980s, the streets of Compton, California, were some of the most dangerous in the country. When five young men translated their experiences growing up into brutally honest music that rebelled against abusive authority, they gave an explosive voice to a silenced generation. Following the meteoric rise and fall of N.W.A., Straight Outta Compton tells the astonishing story of how these youngsters revolutionized music and pop culture forever the moment they told the world the truth about life in the hood and ignited a cultural war.
Last week we took a quick trip to LA for our first tradeshow. The Venue offers a stage for up-and-coming independent Brands to showcase their work to Retailers, Media and Sourcing Vendors. It was definitely a valuable time well spent for Freelance! Look for us in several new retail outlets in the coming months. 😉 The Waikiki Cityscape complimented our range nicely! People even stopped by to take photos of our backdrop! Peep that new custom Jellybean tote in the foreground! Chillin with our girl, Bana, who designed our “Lucky Garden” print, and also designs for Streetwear giants (LRG Womens, Crooks & Castles, Diamond Supply Co.) LA loves Freelance! Even Jon Phenom loves Freelance! Tell ’em Jon… Buyers scoping the details and variety of our range. Big ups to Miles for a great experience at the Venue Tradeshow! Good seeing the homie, Tnes with HippoEsthetics Couldn’t visit LA without stopping thru Inglewood for some goodies.
